Conventional power plants still utilize the conversion of electrical energy from fossil energy / petroleum energy. Fossil energy is running out, so there is a lot of research on Wind Power Plants (PLTB). PLTB is a power plant that utilizes wind energy as its main energy source which is converted into electrical energy through a generator. However, wind has a major problem, namely its changing speed that can affect the power it produces. To optimize the energy produced, Maximum Power Point Tracker (MPPT) is used. MPPT applies two methods including the Perturb and Observe (P&O) and Incremental Conductance (IC) methods. Both methods are used to obtain efficiency and accuracy in finding the maximum power point generated by the wind power system. The research was conducted through MPPT simulation of the two methods on the wind power system using Matlab Simulink software. The result of this research is that the PLTB system using MPPT can increase the output power of the PLTB system by 63.93% of the power generated by the PLTB system without using MPPT. The advantages of the P&O method MPPT are able to produce higher power but the disadvantages have large oscillations. While the IC method MPPT has lower output oscillations but its disadvantages have a slow rise time and smaller power results than the P&O algorithm.en_US
