dc.description.abstract | The transition to renewable energy is the mainfocus in efforts to overcome the negative impacts of climate change and unsustainable dependence on fossil fuels. Solar-Wind Hybrid Power Plant is one of the smart solutions to support this transition process and at the same time one of the ways to maximize the use of the energy source itself. Sigapiton Village on the outskirts of Lake Toba is one of the strategic locations suitable for building this type of power plant. The utilization of solar and wind energy in this power plant is expected to provide sustainable electrical energy where solar panels obtain maximum energy during the day and wind turbines make a major contribution at night. This research also applies fuzzy logic control so that the designed system can be stable and responsive to any load changes that occur. Based on the results of the research, the most feasible system configuration is obtained, namely with solar energy as the main producer of electrical energy with a total electrical energy that can be generated amounting to 5,861,608 kWh / year with a fully solar energy-based generation system. The Net Present Cost value of this system is Rp49,165,880,000, the annual operating cost is Rp1,549,361,000, and the Cost of Energy value of the system is Rp1,519.61. The payback year for this system is 14 years. The application of fuzzy logic in this system is to regulate the charging and use of power from the battery in a hybrid solar-wind generation system. Fuzzy logic allows more adaptive and responsive control to changing conditions of generated power and battery charging status and ensures more optimal system performance. | en_US |
