Rancang Bangun Sistem Informasi Kecepatan Air Sungai Berbasis IoT (Internet of Things)
Design and Construction of River Water Speed Informasion System Based on IoT (Internet of Things)
Abstract
Climate change and high rainfall often cause an increase in river water levels that can trigger flooding. Therefore, an effective monitoring system is needed to monitor water speed in real time and provide early warnings. This study aims to design and develop a river water speed monitoring system based on the internet of things (IoT) that can be accessed remotely and works automatically to provide the latest information to the public and authorities.
This system utilizes the Water Flow Meter YF-S201 sensor to measure water speed, which is then integrated with the IoT module to send data in real time to the web-based blynk application platform. The data obtained will be processed and displayed in the form of information on the user interface, so that users can monitor river water speed easily. In addition, this system is equipped with automatic notifications via a short message application if the water speed reaches a certain limit that has the potential to cause danger.
From the tests conducted, this monitoring tool shows that the system is able to monitor accurately with a fast response time, and provide notifications on the blynk application when the water level increases to alert levels 1, 2, and 3. It is hoped that this system can be an effective solution for flood disaster mitigation and help make quick decisions in handling emergency situations.
