    Abstract
Occupational fatigue is a condition in which the body and mind feel fatigued, leading to decreased workability and lack of endurance to work. This fatigue can also be a health and safety issue that increases the risk of accidents while working. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors associated with work fatigue in Lalupa Karona minibus drivers in Medan City. This study used quantitative research methods with a cross sectional design. The population was 38 drivers with 19 cars traveling Medan-Sidikalang, 11 cars Medan-Tigalingga, 4 cars Medan-Gunung Stember, and 4 cars Medan-Parongil. Samples were taken using purposive sampling with the criteria of Medan-Sidikalang route minibus drivers as many as 19 minibus drivers. The results showed that the level of fatigue in Lalupa Karona minibus drivers was in the low category as many as 7 drivers (36.8%), in the medium category as many as 7 drivers (36.8%), and in the high category as many as 5 drivers (26.3%). The results of bivariate analysis using Spearman Rank showed there was a strong relationship between age and fatigue (p = 0.003); there was a moderate relationship between body mass index and fatigue (p = 0.013); there was a moderate relationship between driving duration and fatigue (p = 0.013); there was a moderate relationship between tenure and fatigue (p = 0.023); there was no relationship between physical condition (health) and fatigue (p = 0.339). The company should consider rotating drivers based on age to reduce workload. Older drivers can be given an earlier schedule to avoid crowded traffic situations. In addition, the company should provide education on the importance of maintaining ideal body weight and fatigue management. Drivers are expected to adhere to the rest schedule and stretch during breaks to relax the body.
