    Abstract
    The increase in the percentage of methyl ester oil relative to mineral oil can reduce the use of mineral oil. In this study, transformer oil was mixed with methyl ester oil from sunflower seed oil, RBDPKO oil, and soybean oil with the addition of TiO2 and SiO2 nanoparticles. The results of the study indicate that the addition of TiO2 and SiO2 nanoparticles can increase the composition percentage of sunflower seed oil, RBDPKO oil, and soybean oil above 30% relative to mineral oil, with density, viscosity, dielectric strength, resistivity, and oil clarity values still meeting the SPLN 49-1 standard of 1982. The best mixing percentage was found in Sample S4 (40% methyl ester sunflower seed oil + 60% mineral oil + 50 mg TiO2 nanoparticles + 10 ml surfactant) with a dielectric strength of 139.2 kV/cm, a density of 0.813 g/cm3, a viscosity of 1.587 cSt, a flash point of 184°C, and a clarity level of 0.5. However, for the acid number test with a standard value of ≤0.03 mg KOH/g, sample S4 had an acid number value of 0.06 mg KOH/g.
