dc.description.abstractThe prevalence of pregnant women around the world in 2023 who experience anemia is 41.8 percent. The prevalence of anemia in pregnant women in the Americas is 24.1 percent, Europe is 25.1 percent, the western Pacific is 30.7 percent, countries in Africa is 57.1 percent and in Southeast Asia is 48.2 percent. The prevalence of anemia in North Sumatra Province is at 39 percent. In 2024, the Belawan Health Center will have pregnant women suffering from anemia with a percentage of 23.5 percent. This study aims to determine factors associated with the incidence of anemia in pregnant women in Belawan Public Health Center in 2024. The type of research is cross sectional. The number of samples in this study was 85 pregnant women using the total sampling technique. The research instrument used was a questionnaire. Univariate data were analyzed descriptively, bivariate data were analyzed using the chi square test with a confidence level of 95%. The results of data analysis show that there is a significant relationship, including the variable age of pregnant women with p value = 0.003, the variable gestational age with p value = 0.024, the variable examination, pregnancy (ANC) with p value = 0.008, and consumption of Fe tablets with p value = 0.017 on the incidence of anemia in pregnant women at the UPT Puskesmas Belawan in 2024. It is recommended that pregnant women know what factors are associated with the incidence of anemia so that pregnant women can take precautions.en_US
