| dc.description.abstract | The rising prevalence of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) in Indonesia poses a significant public health concern. According to WHO data (2023), 17 million premature deaths due to NCDs occur before the age of 70. The posbindu PTM (Integrated Post for NCD Prevention and Control) program, a community-based initiative, has been established to combat NCDs through a collaborative effort involving all stakeholders concerned about the NCD threat. Medan Area Selatan Health Centers, one of Medan City's 20 Health Centers, has the lowest posbindu PTM attendance rate among the city's 41 Health Centers. This study aims to investigate the influence of knowledge, attitude, family support, and cadre support on the utilization of posbindu PTM services in the working area of Medan Area Selatan Health Centers in 2024. A quantitative cross-sectional study design was employed in this research. The population consisted of all individuals aged 15-59 years residing within the working area of Medan Area Selatan Health Centers, totaling 20,697 individuals. A sample of 100 respondents was selected using accidental sampling. Data was collected using questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The findings revealed that 64 (64%) respondents did not utilize posbindu PTM services, 20 (20%) respondents underutilized the services, and 16 (16%) respondents effectively utilized posbindu PTM services. Multiple linear regression analysis indicated that knowledge, attitude, and family support significantly influenced the utilization of posbindu PTM services, while cadre support did not. Attitude was identified as the variable with the most substantial impact on posbindu PTM service utilization. Based on the study findings, further efforts are warranted to raise awareness about posbindu PTM services and encourage individuals, particularly those in their productive years, to prioritize their health. | en_US |
