Currently, advances in technology and the need to produce strong construction have made welding techniques the main choice in construction and other technologies. Therefore, we need better quality welds to make construction that is strong, safe and durable. Good welding results can not only be seen visually, but must be known structurally. Because the welding results are visually good, they do not necessarily have a good structure. To determine good welding results that meet the criteria, there must be measurement or testing of the weld results. Steel welding using GMAW welding with CO2 (noble gas) protection is expected to provide good welded joint results, both physically and mechanically. This research aims to determine the effect of Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) welding results on AISI 1050 steel material using variations in current strength of 90 A, 100 A and 110 A. This research process begins with making bending test specimens, Brinell hardness tests and Microstructural tests used AISI 1050 steel material. For the Bending test results, the highest stress value was at a current variation of 110 A with a value of 686,68 kgf/mm². In the Hardness test results, the highest hardness value was obtained at a current variation of 90 A in the weld area with a value of 217 BHN. The microstructural results seen in variations in current strength of 100 A in the weld metal area have grains that are smaller and more evenly distributed compared to other current strengths and experience less oxidation than in the Heat Affected Zone (HAZ) area.en_US
