dc.description.abstract | This study is related to the planning of the Culinary Arts Gallery in Binjai City. This plan is intended as a place for culinary and cultural diversity in Binjai City to be better known and developed. Binjai City is a city with various tribes and cultures in it. The cultural diversity comes from the residents of this city, among others, from tribes; Malay, Toba Batak, Karo, Chinese, Javanese and other tribes. The cultural diversity of the city of Binjai has resulted in the growth of various cultural characteristics in the culinary forms of the city of Binjai such as: tau kua heci and rambutan cakes which give the city its identity. Furthermore, the cultural and culinary diversity of the city of Binjai has the potential to be developed in terms of the economy and tourism. Therefore it is necessary to have a planning study for the Culinary Art Gallery in Binjai City which can accommodate the culinary arts of Binjai City so that it is easier to be introduced to the wider community in the form of a Culinary Art Gallery. This plan is not only intended to accommodate culinary activities but also serves as a forum for artistic and cultural activities for the people of Binjai City.
In planning this Culinary Art Gallery using Tropical Architecture as the theme that is applied because the location of the Planning Culinary Art Gallery is in an area with a tropical climate. This theme focuses on the building planning process to overcome problems that may occur in tropical climate areas, as well as taking into account environmental aspects and vegetation around the building in order to provide maximum comfort and function of the building for users of the Culinary Arts Gallery. | en_US |
