Mangroves have many benefits, especially at Jigo Beach, Pangkalan Susu District. Identification of mangrove damage is carried out by measuring density, frequency, cover and significance index values using the line transect method. This value will be compared with Minister of Environment Decree No. 201 of 2004. Stations and plots were determined using the purposive sampling method. The tree category is in the damaged criteria, where the highest value is 466.67 ind/ha at Avicennia marina at station III. The sapling category showed variation, where Rhizophora apiculata at station III reached the highest value of 2533.33 ind/ha. However, several species fall into the damaged criteria, where the lowest density is 133.33 ind/ha in Sonneratia alba at station III. The seedling category is in good criteria, where the highest density value is 63,000 ind/ha for Rhizophora apiculata at station II. Closure is spread across several criteria, namely good and damaged. Avicennia marina at station I is in the good category (very dense) with a value of 80.05 and at station III it is in the good (medium) criteria with a value of 54.53. Other species have closure values in the damaged criteria with the lowest value of 3.07 for Rhizophora apiculata at station III. The density and cover values of mangroves on Jigo Beach show that vegetation distribution is uneven so restoration efforts are needed.en_US
