Analisis Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) dan Six Big Losses untuk Meningkatkan Efektivitas Mesin Blow Molding di PT. XYZ
Analysis of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and Six Big Losses to Improve the Effectiveness of Blow Molding Machine in PT. XYZ
Abstract
The manufacturing industry in Indonesia is facing the challenges of globalization
and increasingly fierce competition, where machine effectiveness is a major factor
in the company's success. The blow molding machine used at PT XYZ has decreased
in effectiveness which has an impact on not achieving the jerrycan production
target or decreasing the quantity of products produced. Therefore, this study aims
to identify the level of machine effectiveness, the causes of decreased effectiveness,
root cause analysis, and propose improvement strategies using the Overall
Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) method, six big losses, and FMEA. The results
show that the OEE value of the blow molding machine of 77.02% is still below the
world-class standard of 85% due to breakdown losses, setup and adjustment losses,
and reduced speed losses on the machine, with analysis of the cause and effect
diagram and FMEA to identify the causal factors. Based on the analysis and
discussion, recommendations for improvement are given through the application of
Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), to increase the effectiveness of blow molding
machines.
