Analisis Kinerja Persediaan Bahan Baku di CV Mantili Tahu Abadi

Abstract

The title of this research is "Analysis of Raw Material Inventory Performance at CV Mantili Tahu Abadi". CV Mantili Tahu Abadi is a company engaged in tofu production. This business unit faces issues in raw material inventory, specifically soybeans, where shortages or stockouts occasionally occur, preventing them from fulfilling customer demand. This research aims to measure the performance of raw material inventory, determine the optimal raw material inventory, and assess the impact of this optimal inventory on the company’s inventory system. The inventory performance measurement is conducted using the Fill Rate method. Optimal inventory is determined through calculations and analysis of Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), Safety Stock (SS), and Reorder Point (ROP). The results of the inventory performance measurement using the fill rate method for the period from 2023 to May 2024 show a fill rate of 0.94, meaning the company was only able to meet 94% of customer demand during that period. This fill rate is below the company’s expected service level of 97%, indicating the need for steps to improve performance. Based on the inventory calculations, the optimal order quantity for soybean raw materials using the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method for the June 2024 period is 4.600 kg, with a Safety Stock of 163 kg and a reorder point of 1.004 kg. An analysis of the implementation of these optimal inventory calculations during the observed period shows that the issue of soybean shortages at CV Mantili Tahu Abadi can be resolved.
