Analisis Sistem Pengelolaan Limbah Padat Medis pada Puskesmas Namorambe Tahun 2024

Abstract

Community health centers (Puskesmas) are one of the health service units whose activities produce solid medical waste. Medical solid waste can cause the spread of disease and can disrupt the environment if not managed properly. The aim of this research is to analyze the medical solid waste management system at the Namorambe Community Health Center. This research is a type of descriptive research using a qualitative approach method. The results of the research show that the solid medical waste management system at the Namorambe Community Health Center consists of assessing how to separate sharp and non-sharp objects, the collection and temporary collection stages of solid medical waste that does not meet the requirements, the process of temporarily storing medical waste for one month and handing it over to third parties and the community health center. do not bury medical waste. It is hoped that the suggestions given to the Namorambe Community Health Center will become material for advocacy to medical solid waste management officers through educational and training activities in managing medical solid waste.
