    Abstract
Health services are the most important aspect in human life which is related to efforts to improve the welfare and health status of the community. According to Grossman, requests for health services are considered as a framework for improving health status, individuals will assess the expenditure made to obtain health services. Heart disease is a condition where there is interference with heart function. Coronary heart disease, heart valve disease, and arrhythmias are the most common heart defects. This research aims to analyze patient requests for heart health services at RSU Haji Medan in 2024. This type of research is quantitative research with a descriptive approach supported by qualitative data. The sample in this study were heart patients who received outpatient treatment at the cardiology polyclinic at RSU Haji Medan, namely 86 patients taken using the Accidental Sampling technique. The research results showed that in requests for heart health services at RSU Haji Medan, as many as 38 people (44.2%) were based on their beliefs, as many as 79 people (91.9%) said access to heart health services was easy, as many as 76 people (88.4%) used the referral system, and all outpatients used health insurance during health services. Based on treatment procedures, the largest proportion were patients who received treatment in the form of an ECG, namely 68 people (79.1%). It is hoped that hospitals can evaluate and continue to improve the quality of outpatient health services, so that it will increase demand and utilization of health services.
