| dc.description.abstract | The halal industry trend is gaining global attention with Indonesia ranked 4th in the Global Islamic Economy Indicator (GIEI) ranking. The demand for halal goods, including food, Muslim fashion, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics, is increasing rapidly along with the growth of the Muslim population and awareness of the quality of halal products. However, in the distribution process of halal goods, the risk of contamination with non-halal products remains a challenge, especially in the context of logistics. This study aims to identify and analyze the risks that can cause contamination of halal products at JNE Express Medan using the House of Risk (HOR) method and design mitigation strategies to ensure the integrity of halal products during logistics activities. The method used in this study is the House of Risk (HOR) which allows the identification of risk sources and the design of mitigation strategies systematically. Data were collected through direct observation and interviews with JNE Express Medan. The analysis was carried out to identify key risks and determine effective mitigation measures. The study found that there were 15 significant risk events in the logistics process at JNE Express Medan, including the absence of an information and management system that considers halal, unclean and non-sterile checkers (containers) and manifest stations, and no SOPs that consider halal. The three main risk agents had an impact of 74.10% on risk events, such as JNE Express Medan not having an information and management system that considers halal, customers not knowing the halal status of the product, and no SOPs that consider halal. The proposed mitigation includes the creation of a good information and management system, the use of unique labels or codes, consistent implementation of SOPs, and the arrangement of goods on trucks by halal principles. In the logistics process at JNE Express Medan, the absence of special attention to the halal status of the product and the lack of an adequate management system have the potential to cause contamination between halal and non-halal products. The implementation of mitigation strategies can reduce risks and ensure that the halal status of the product is maintained during logistics activities. | en_US |
