Oscillating Water Column (OWC) is one of the widely used types of Wave Energy Converters (WECs). The device consists of a vertical cylinder partially submerged and open at both ends, which has a hollow structure that remains stationary or oscillating. One end is open to the sea below the water surface. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the hydrodynamic coefficients of the OWC, namely the added mass and damping coefficient, evaluate the response of the water column inside the OWC and evaluate the validity of the linear superposition theory. In modeling the OWC using OpenFOAM and data is required in the form of wave parameters based on previous research There are 2 OWC modeling methods, namely FWCT (Forced Water Column Test) and FAPT (Forced Air Pressure Test). which are simulated with different water level elevations and periods. From simulation, it is found that for the case of FWCT and FAPT, there is a significant significant effect of internal water level elevation on hydrodynamic coefficient. hydrodynamic coefficient. As the wave period value increases, the the more the value of the hydrodynamic coefficient increases. In this case, the linear superposition theory is valid because the comparison of the internal elevation curves of wave2Foam and TDM internal elevation curves are uniform, but for more extreme wave height conditions the extreme wave height conditions show slightly deviated results. The RAO value decreases as the wave height parameter increases.en_US
