    Abstract
Modified asphalt is oil asphalt that is added with additives. Commonly used additives are waste materials, such as rubber and plastic waste. Crumb rubber modified asphalt has resistance to rutting and cracking, resistance to high temperatures, and can reduce aging. The addition of Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) to asphalt mixtures has a significant positive effect on Marshall parameters but at certain variation levels does not meet the elastic recovery criteria. Therefore, it is recommended to add elastomeric polymer (rubber). This study aims to determine the effect of adding waste crumb rubber and polyethylene terephthalate (PET) together on the characteristics of Asphalt Concrete - Wearing Course (ACWC) mixtures. The addition of crumb rubber and PET waste to the asphalt mixture was carried out with a wet system. Crumb rubber waste is used with a variation of 10% and 12% by weight of asphalt, while PET waste is used with a variation of 4%, 6%, and 8% by weight of asphalt. The number of test objects made was 95 test objects which were divided into three parts, namely the Marshall Test test objects for determining the Optimum Asphalt Content (KAO) as many as 39 test objects, Marshall Test test objects using KAO with the addition of crumb rubber and PET waste as many as 54 test objects, and test objects for Wheel Tracking Machine (WTM) testing as many as 2 test objects. The tests carried out are Marshall testing, WTM testing, and Extraction testing as a control of asphalt content. From the results of the study, it is known that the addition of crumb rubber and PET waste to the asphalt mixture affects the asphalt properties, namely an increase in the value of the softening point and specific gravity and a decrease in the penetration value of asphalt. It also affects the value of Marshall parameters such as an improvement in stability, VFB, and MQ values. The highest stability value was obtained with 2045 kg at the level of adding 12% crumb rubber waste and 6% PET to the asphalt weight. From the WTM test results, there is also an improvement in the dynamic stability value which indicates that the mixture has resistance to rutting.
