dc.description.abstract | Indonesia is a country located in an area of volcanic and tectonic activities
and between plate boundaries. This leads to the risk of earthquakes and tsunamis
triggering landslides. Karo Regency is an area with a large plateau and high rainfall
that has the potential for landslides.
This research aims to analyze the level of risk of landslides based on
Geographic Information System (GIS) which is expected to be useful in mitigating
landslides in Karo Regency more effectively. This research is located in Karo
Regency which analyzes the level of vulnerability, susceptibility, and capacity of
the region using QGIS 3.30.2 application with scoring and overlay techniques
referring to Permen PU No. 22/PRT/M/2007 and Regulation of the Head of BNPN
No. 2 Year 2012 so as to produce the level of landslide risk which is then validated
with ROC curve.
Based on the analysis, this research concludes that the landslide risk level
in Karo Regency consists of 5 levels, namely very low risk level (636.320 km2),
low risk level (506.095 km2), moderate risk level (901.106 km2), high risk level
(121.461 km2), and very high risk level (13.284 km2). Karo Regency is dominated
by a moderate risk level with a total of 8 out of sub-districts, namely Laubaleng,
Tigabinanga, Juhar, Payung, Naman Teran, Dolat Rayat, Merek and Barusjahe subdistricts. | en_US |
