Abstract

The UMKM Square Building of the University of North Sumatra Building is one of the building designs that aims to build collaboration for every UMKM actor in North Sumatra, especially Medan City. The construction of this building is intended to create an area that can facilitate well and be able to create interaction between MSME actors and students, lecturers, teaching staff and the people of Medan. Analysis of the needs of space and other facilities such as retail areas, meeting rooms and other supporting functions is carried out in order to create a comfortable environment. The combination of indoor and outdoor spaces creates a beautiful and natural atmosphere is also inseparable from the application of architectural principles, as a result of a more flexible, beautiful, environmentally friendly design created in the midst of dense and saturated cities. The UMKM Square Building of the University of North Sumatra is expected to be able to become a more innovative area and have a positive impact on the people of Medan and can become a trendsetter for other developments.
