This study seeks to examine the motivations of visitors in utilizing the book collection at Literacy Coffee, with particular attention to intrinsic and extrinsic motivational factors. The research employs a qualitative methodology, adopting a descriptive research design and a case study approach. A total of seven informants were selected through purposive sampling, comprising one library manager and six visitors who actively engage with the book collection. Data collection was conducted through observation and structured interviews. The findings of this study reveal that visitors' motivation to utilize the book collection at the Literacy Coffee Library Café is shaped by both intrinsic and extrinsic factors. Intrinsic motivation encompasses individual desires, the necessity for access to relevant collections, and the fulfillment of personal goals aligned with specific needs. Extrinsic motivation, on the other hand, is driven by external influences such as encouragement from others and the surrounding environment, particularly the café library concept. Notably, the reward factor does not play a significant role, as visitors continue to engage with the collection in the absence of any tangible incentives.
