    Abstract
This research explores the history of Tugu Juang 45 Lobusona in Lobusona Subdistrict from 1945 to 1996. The research employs historical methods, including heuristics, critique, interpretation, and historiography. Data were collected through library research and archival studies, analyzing sources such as books, previous research, and archives from the independence struggle era. In addition to library and archival studies, data collection was conducted through interviews with resource persons knowledgeable about the history of Tugu Juang 45 and the stories of the struggle during its construction process. The objectives of this study are to explain the designation of Lobusona as a guerrilla headquarters from 1945 to 1949, to describe the condition of the Lobusona Guerrilla Headquarters from 1950 to 1996, and to detail the process of establishing Tugu Juang 45 Lobusona in 1996. The findings reveal that Tugu Juang 45 was originally a guerrilla headquarters from 1945 to 1949 and was converted into a commemorative monument in 1978. The construction of Tugu Juang 45 symbolizes the struggle of the people of Lobusona, Labuhanbatu. The study finds that the decision to construct Tugu Juang 45 in Lobusona was based on strategic considerations for accessibility and its symbolic significance. The location in Lobusona was chosen for its accessibility and proximity to community activity centers. The idea for the monument's construction was initiated by H. Bahri Hasibuan and realized by H. Jamaluddin Pane, S.H., who served as a regent. The construction of Tugu Juang 45 Lobusona began in 1978 and was completed in 1982, followed by renovations between 1995 and 1996. The maintenance and management of Tugu Juang 45 Lobusona are the responsibilities of the Labuhanbatu Regency Government and the 45 Regional Council (DHC). From 1950 to 1978, the area designated for the monument was a rubber plantation managed by Mr. Siahaan. From 1978 to 1983, the monument was a simple wooden structure. Between 1984 and 1995, Tugu Juang 45 served as an educational facility and a gathering place for veterans. In 1995, the monument was reconstructed into a permanent structure, which was completed in 1996.
