dc.description.abstract | This research aims to explain the theme, setting, plot, and characterization as well as the personality of the main character in the Drama Cause of Wak Cantuk by Harun Aminurrashid. The data collection technique used in this research is the note-taking technique. The data in this research are words, phrases and clauses sourced from the drama text of the Drama Manuscript Causeak Wak Cantuk. This research uses structural theory and literary psychology as well as intrinsic elements of drama including; theme, setting, plot, and characterization. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach. Data analysis techniques use basic techniques and data analysis. The research results show that Theme; the major theme of Wak Cantuk not having the freedom to love and the minor themes of murder and violence which complete the story in the drama script. Background; backgrounds for mosques, limestone villages, copper villages, Balinese villages, houses and Singapore. Day, morning and evening settings. The cultural setting is the throwing of rhymes as part of a traditional Singaporean Malay wedding. Characterization; Wak Cantuk has a kind and helpful character and Nuraman has a very friendly and kind character to everyone. Literary psychological analysis that emphasizes analyzing data from the drama Cause of Wak Cantuk by Harun Aminurrashid. Find 10 data related to literary psychology. Of the total data that has been analyzed, there are 4 data related to the ID, 3 data related to the ego, and 3 data related to the superego, including; four elements of Id, (1.) Wak Cantuk's concern is shown towards Marmah who already looks tired, (2.) Wak Cantuk's concern is shown towards his students when they are practicing the martial arts of don't divide their minds, (3.) Wak Cantuk's concern was shown towards Nuraman when Wak Cantuk gave a moral message regarding the knowledge he had taught. (4.) Disappointment with the situation was shown by Wak Cantuk who felt he was unfit to marry because of his old age. Three elements of Ego, (1.) Wak Cantuk's concern for his students to be careful about how to defend themselves in martial arts, (2.) Wak Cantuk's jealous attitude is shown because Wak Cantuk feels unfit to marry at his old age, (3. ) Confrontation, Wak Cantuk's attitude of wanting to challenge his students because they were involved in his anger. Three Elements of the Superego, (1.) The advice given by Wak Cantuk to his students to avoid cruel and disobedient acts, (2.) The advice given by Wak Cantuk that silat is not for fighting and not for attacking, (3.) Wak Cantuk's advice shown to all young people to always be patient in their actions.
