This research proposes the design of a compact, flexible, rectangular microstrip patch antenna and an antenna whose frequency can be reconfigured using an FR4 Epoxy substrate with values of ε_r = 4.4 and h = 1.6 mm. To produce an antenna with configured functions, the pin shorting method is used, namely adding pins to the antenna patch. After that, characterization is carried out in the form of reducing the dimensions of the antenna and adding pins. And the results of this research obtained 5 shorting pin positions which are capable of providing 5 different resonant frequencies, namely 2 GHz, 2.05 GHz, 2.08 GHz, 2.11 GHz and 2.15 GHz. The frequency range for VSWR ≤ 2 is 1.9 GHz to 2.1 GHz and the reconfigurable antenna design bandwidth is 192 MHz.en_US
