dc.description.abstractPowder metallurgy can be used to create more complex shapes of materials. With mechanical methods, it’s estimated that materials can be easily synthesized in both dry and wet conditions. This research aims to determine the process of making bulk alloy materials on EDM electrodes using powder metallurgy methods, analyzing the effect of variations in the ball ratio on the alloy on density, and microstructure, analyzing the effect of the mechanical alloying process with a time of two hours on the alloy on powder size, and analyzing the effect of variations in the ball ratio on the alloy on electrical conductivity. The (CuNi)-2.5wt.%Fe-5wt.%Mo alloy will be mixed with a V-mixer for two hours at a speed of 120 rpm with variations in the ball ratio, and Mechanical alloying for two hours at a speed of 1000 rpm. Then some of the mixed powder will be tested for XRD and the rest will be compacted for 15 minutes with a pressure of 250 MPa. After that sintered for 60 minutes at 770 oC. After all stages are complete, testing is carried out to obtain electrical conductivity, hardness, pressure, density, and alloy microstructure. The alloy using the Mechanical Alloying method has the highest density, Vickers hardness, pressure testing, and electrical conductivity results, and the one using the v-mixer mixture has the lowest results. The Mechanical alloying mixing method also has a more solid and homogeneous structure, has fewer grain boundaries than other mixing methods, and has the finest grain size.en_US
