Faktor-Faktor yang Mempengaruhi Kinerja Perusahaan Logistik di Sumatera Utara

Abstract

The problem with logistics companies in Indonesia is that the performance of logistics companies is still low so that the competitiveness of logistics companies is still low. This is shown by Indonesia's ranking in the 2023 Logistic Performance Index at 48th place. Achieving positive logistics company performance can be achieved by implementing good business policies. Therefore, it is important for logistics companies to improve company performance by considering dynamic capabilities, innovation, external environment and operational optimization factors in an effort to improve logistics company performance. This research examines the factors that influence the performance of logistics companies in North Sumatra. The object of this research is logistics companies in North Sumatra, with the research subjects being top and middle management in logistics companies in North Sumatra. The respondents for this research were 292 top & middle management. The quantitative analysis used in this research is PLS (Partial Least Square) analysis with SmartPLS 3 as a statistical tool. The research results show that the external environment has a significant effect on dynamic capabilities and innovation, but have not significant effect on logistics company performance. Meanwhile, dynamic capabilities, innovation and operational optimization are proven to have a significant influence on logistics company performance. Furthermore, the results reveal that dynamic capabilities and innovation significantly mediate the relationship between the external environment and firm performance. This shows how companies must adapt and respond to external changes to improve their performance by being flexible, adaptive, and innovative.
