dc.description.abstract | Background: In the current digital era, developments in information technology have brought significant changes to the way offices are managed. The use of office management software, electronic filing systems, digital communication tools, and cloud-based technology has simplified and accelerated the administrative process.
Objective: The aim of the Final Assignment carried out by this research is: "To find out the role of Office Administration in Managing the Archives System of the General Bureau of the Regional Secretariat of North Sumatra Province".
Method: The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The theory used in this research is human resource planning. This research was carried out at the North Sumatra Governor's Office, General Bureau, using data collection techniques using three methods, namely interviews, observation and documentation. The researchers conducted interviews with the Head of Sub-General and Civil Service and the Head of the General Bureau.
Result: In accordance with the pace and national development, especially in the era of globalization, facing all challenges in all fields in carrying out government and development tasks is a very tough challenge for government officials. To carry out the intended tasks, the current situation requires efforts to increase the knowledge of employees or staff within the Office of the Governor of North Sumatra (General Bureau).
Conclusion: The system used to manage archives uses the Railways Document System system, but based on the problems related to this, the researcher suspects that dynamic archive management is very important in the North Sumatra General Bureau Office which is still hampered by knowledge of dynamic archive management which includes activities for structuring active archives, structuring inactive archives, vital records program, service and maintenance. Apart from that, archive storage that is not optimal is one of the problems that must be quickly found a solution. | en_US |
