Kajian Hukum terhadap Keselamatan Kerja Pekerja pada PO Sampri Transport Medan

Abstract

PO Sampri Transport Medan is a general passenger transportation company that has inter-city routes and employs many workers, especially drivers. Like workers in general, workers at PO Sampri Transport Medan are workers who cannot be separated from the risks of work. Among them is the occurrence of work accidents. Therefore, this research discusses the legal provisions regarding work safety according to Indonesian law, how work safety is implemented and how to resolve work safety violations by workers at PO Sampri Transport Medan. The method used is a descriptive qualitative normative juridical research method. The normative juridical research method is a type of library legal research that is carried out by examining library materials or secondary data. The results obtained from this research are that the implementation of legal protection for work safety at PO Sampri Transport Medan has made efforts, namely the provision of personal protective equipment (PPE), but the risk of work accidents is definitely unavoidable which can occur at any time, especially in road traffic. For example, other vehicles are reckless so they interfere with other vehicles and can cause the threat of accidents for other drivers, especially the Sampri Medan car driver. Another problem is sampri drivers who drive cars while drunk. It is hoped that to reduce work accidents, PO Sampri Transport Medan will be more strict in giving sanctions to workers if they violate rules such as not driving a vehicle while drunk or sleepy.
