A Notary is obliged to make a deed in the form of a Deed Minutes and keep it as part of the Notary Protocol as regulated in Article 16 paragraph (I) letter b of the Notary's Office Law (UUJN). Minutes of Deed as part of the Notary Protocol and as State Archives, must have regulations for storing and managing records which is guided by Law no. 43 of 2009 concerning Archives (UUK) which specifically regulates archival issues. Formulation of the problem In this research, what is the position of deed minutes as state archives; How effective is the notary protocol storage system; What is the responsibility of a notary in keeping the minutes of a deed as part of the notary protocol and state archives based on the Law on the Position of Notaries associated with Archives Law?
The research method used in this research is normative juridical research, which is supported by primary, se'!ondary and tertiary legal material sources, as well as qualitative analysis of legal materials.
The research results show that the position of the Deed Minutes as a State archive linked to the Archives Law, based on archive classification, Deed Minutes can be classified as Vital Dynamic archives. The effectiveness of the Notary Protocol storage system is linked to the Archives Law which at least consists of Archive Creation, Acquisition, Management, Maintenance, Access to Archives and Depreciation. Meanwhile, The Notary's position Law only regulates archive creators, acquisition and access to archives. Responsibilities of the notary in storing the Deed Minutes as part of the Notary Protocol based on Article 1 number 8, Article 15 paragraph (1) and Article 16 paragraph (I) letter b of the Notary Position Law. This obligation aims to maintain the authenticity of a deed by keeping it in its original form.
