The current reality of farming management activities is more oriented towards growth and improving the community's economy. So that efforts to improve the economy are actually carried out to the extent of clearing forests (deforestation) as widely as possible without paying attention to the impact of this. One solution to reduce pressure on forests and overcome the problem of agricultural land needs is to implement an agroforestry system. Currently, the implementation of the agroforestry system is still not widely used by farmers, especially in Ajibata District, Toba Regency. The aim of this research is to identify the distribution of agroforestry types in Ajibata District, Toba Regency, as well as to determine the comparison of criteria for soil chemical properties between types of agroforestry and the comparison of soil chemical properties of agroforestry systems with the chemical properties of monoculture and forest agricultural soils. The research uses a survey method with a purposive sampling technique. Soil samples were taken at 7 coordinate points with a depth of 0-60 cm. Next, the soil samples were analyzed in the laboratory. Soil sample analysis carried out was soil pH, C-organic, N-total, P-available, Potassium and Cation Exchange Capacity (CEC). Then the research results are described based on the Bogor Soil Research Institute, 2005 for each parameter. Based on research results, there are 2 types of agroforestry found in Ajibata District, Toba Regency, namely: Agrisilviculture and Agrosilvopastura types. The criteria for soil chemical properties of the Agrosilvopastural type Agroforestry system are better than those of the Agrisilviculture type Agroforestry system and monoculture farming, but are still below the criteria for forest soil chemical properties.en_US
