Internet of Things is a network of interconnected devices that connect and
exchange data with other Internet of Things devices and the cloud. The Internet of
Things is used in many ways, one of which is monitoring. In this research, the
Internet of Things is used to monitor the amount of deflection that occurs in a
flexible element which is caused by the load received by the flexible element.
In this research, a tool was designed that can monitor the load and
deflection relationships that occur in flexible elements by utilizing an internet
network based on the Internet of Things. By using a microcontroller-based
development board designed to integrate WiFi in Internet of Things projects. This
tool also uses a load sensor, namely the Type S Load Cell and also a sensor to
detect loan changes, namely the Flex Sensor. Based on this research, the results
showed that the best level of hardness or quality of wood was Damar Laut with a
size of 55x4x8cm, in next place was Meranti with a size of 55x4x8cm and in third
place was Cengal with a size of 55x4x8cm.
