Motor vehicles as a popular means of transportation in Indonesia, with data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) showing 148,261,817 motor vehicles in 2022. However, this increase in the number of vehicles is also accompanied by a high number of theft cases, recorded at 14,184 incidents in the same year. This emphasizes the need for effective solutions to prevent motor vehicle theft. Rapidly evolving technologies, such as RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) and SMS Gateway, offer potential solutions to this problem. RFID can be used to store and retrieve data remotely, while SMS Gateway can send text messages to relevant parties. In this Final Project, research and design of a notification system and SMS gateway for motor vehicle security sensors in Villa Palem Kencana Housing is carried out. This notification system utilizes the SMS (Short Message Service) feature to convey information to motor vehicle owners if the vehicle is detected heading out of the housing. This system uses the main device in the form of SIM800L V2 GSM Module and Arduino microprocessor device to send messages and make calls to vehicle owners. When a motorized vehicle is detected moving out of housing, the SIM800L V2 GSM module sends a message to the vehicle owner. If the owner answers “yes”, the vehicle is taken with consent. If the owner answers “no”, the buzzer and red LED turn on, and the system sends an SMS to the security guard. If the message is ignored, the system calls the owner. If it remains ignored, the buzzer and LED light up, and an SMS is sent to the security guard for further action. This RFID-based security system uses Arduino UNO, SIM800L V2 GSM Module, buzzer, and LED light, with power supply from solar panel and RFID adapter. The system sends notifications directly to the vehicle owner and provides physical alerts through buzzers and LED lights. Performance is measured through GSM module response speed, message delivery, and phone calls. The test results show an average message delivery time of 7.95 seconds and buzzer and LED activation of 6.79 seconds. The system is effective in preventing vehicle theft with a quick response and improving environmental safety.en_US
