The need for facilities in the form of a library in Medan City that can support activities and suit the needs of Generation Z. The problem, in Medan City, is that there is no library that can meet these needs, both in terms of facilities, building forms, and functions, even the library in Medan City is still lacking in attracting public attention so that the library is less desirable and creates boredom in the object. The purpose of this design is to use a design method that analyzes ideas that are contextual to the site, mass configuration, and facade elements in the concept of metaphor in the library building and of course can design the shape of both services, rooms and other supporting facilities that match the style of Generation Z.en_US
