The region of Indonesia is renowned for its diverse cultures and arts,
spanning from Sabang to Merauke. This design focuses on integrating
metaphorical elements within architectural compositions, aiming to
harmonize the physical space with the essence of music education and
creativity. By employing a metaphorical approach, the design strives to
transcend mere functionality, creating an environment that resonates with
the spirit of musical expression and learning.
Drawing inspiration from the rich cultural diversity of Medan and the
dynamic nature of music pedagogy, this research embarks on a journey to
depict the ethos of music in architectural form. Through the exploration of
spatial organization and sensory experiences, the design endeavor aims to
create an immersive environment that fosters musical exploration,
collaboration, and innovation.
Utilizing both qualitative and quantitative methodologies, this research
employs case studies, surveys, and architectural simulations to evaluate
the effectiveness of metaphorical architectural design in enhancing
educational experiences within the context of a Music Academy.
Furthermore, this study considers the socio-cultural implications and
sustainability aspects inherent in the proposed architectural interventions.
The findings of this research aim to contribute to the discourse on
innovative architectural approaches in educational contexts, particularly
within the realm of music academia. By elucidating the potential of
metaphorical architectural design, this research seeks to inspire future
efforts in creating transformational educational spaces that resonate with
the aspirations and identities of their users.
