Project risk is a thing or possibility that may occur during the course of a project that can affect the sustainability of the project. These impacts can arise from activities and decisions taken during the implementation of the project. Risks that occur during the development process must be mitigated so as not to affect the smooth implementation of the ongoing project Risk management must be used to mitigate risks to determine how risks arising in a project can be overcome or managed.
Each construction project certainly has different stages of design, planning and implementation, but each project must have risk risks during the implementation of the project. Likewise with the Medan Barat District Station Road Overpass Construction project, Medan City. The implementation of this project certainly has risks that follow it which can cause a negative impact on the sustainability of the project. Therefore, it is necessary to mitigate the risk of implementation risks in the project so that the sustainability of the project can run smoothly.
In this study, the identification of the existing and most dominant risks during the implementation of the West Medan District Station Road Overpass Construction project will be carried out, for further analysis of the dominant risks to determine the appropriate mitigation steps against these risks, so that the project can be implemented and completed properly. The method carried out in this study is the Severity Index method.
The results obtained in this study are, there are 3 dominant risks with the high risk category, 8 risks with the medium risk category, and 5 risks with the low risk category.
