dc.description.abstractEnvironmental damage today has become a common challenge to build a better civilisation. The focus on overcoming environmental problems has become a joint commitment in tackling it. Public awareness is needed to support the achievement of open defecation free. The commitment to strengthening an environment free from damage is a shared commitment of all countries in the world. This is stated in the SDG's contained in the sixth goal. This study aims to This study aims to determine the factors that cause the high success rate of the STOP BABS programme in the siamangambat sub-district of North Padang Lawas Regency. The results of this study show that the things that influence the stop babs programme are knowledge, support from the head of the family, government support and resources. Conclusion From the results of the research conducted, it can be concluded that the factors that play a role in the implementation of the stop BABS programme are: level of education, knowledge, support from the head of the family, support from community leaders, availability of resources, and government support.en_US
