dc.description.abstractPalm Oil Mill (POM) PT. Perkebunan Nusantara IV Dolok Ilir is a company engaged in the palm oil industry. In its operational activities, PKS Dolok Ilir uses boilers and produces major gas pollutants such as Sulfur Dioxide (SO2) and Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2) which have the potential to cause air pollution. SO2 and NO2 emissions are transported through the boiler chimney and dispersed to the area around the plant according to local meteorological conditions. The purpose of this study is to analyze the dispersion of SO2 and NO2 emissions released through the boiler chimney and to map the dispersion of SO2 and NO2 gas emissions in the wet month 2022, dry month 2023 and wet month 2023. The method used in this research is the Gaussian Dispersion Model and the Index of Agreement (d) method to measure the error level of a model prediction. Based on the results of the study, it can be seen that, the results of gaussian dispersion emission concentrations on SO2 emissions are 0.0407 μg/m3, 0.0446 μg/m3, 1.162 μg/m3 and on NO2 emissions are 4.287 μg/m3, 4.571 μg/m3, 6.907 μg/m3. SO2 and NO2 emissions produced by the Dolok Ilir PKS boiler chimney still meet the established quality standards. The results of the data validity test on SO2 and NO2 with the Index of Agreement method showed values of 0.18 and 0.28. These results indicate that the dispersion of emissions in ambient air is influenced by several other factors such as motor vehicle pollution and generator engines in factory operations.en_US
