Thesis discusses the study of the mechanical properties and microstructure of Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) welding on ASTM A36 steel material with variations of E6013, E7016, and E7018 electrode fillers. This research aims to examine the effect of variations in electrode filler on tensile strength, hardness, impact toughness and microstructure of steel materials. Welding results are tested using tensile tests, hardness tests, impact tests, and microstructural observations. ASTM A36 steel material was chosen because it has good strength and weldability, and is affordable in the industry. Based on the results of mechanical and microstructural tests, this research provides an in-depth understanding of the role of electrode filler variations in influencing the quality of welding results, which is very important in industrial applications, especially for making tricycle frames for people with disabilities.en_US
