Strategi Peningkatan Kinerja Operasi dan Pemeliharaan Jaringan Irigasi pada Petani Pemakai Air (P3A) pada Daerah Irigasi Pekan Dolok, Kec. Dolok Masihul, Kab. Serdang Bedagai

Abstract

The field issues that occurs in the operation and maintenance of irrigation networks pose obstacles for petani pemakai air groups and the relevant government agencies in enhancing the effectiveness of irrigation operation and maintenance performance, which requires immediate action. Appropriate strategies are needed to ensure that the operation and maintenance of irrigation networks can be more effective and meet the expected targets. This study is a quantitative research using a SWOT analysis approach. The total sampling method was used, with a total of 85 respondents comprising all members of the petani pemakai air. The research results were proven to be valid and reliable with an r-table value of 0.1796. Data were analyzed using SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, Threat), and it was found that the performance of petani pemakai air was not yet effective in the operation and maintenance of irrigation networks. The strategies to maximize effectiveness are: first, building strong partnerships with the government and surrounding communities; second, improving the efficiency and performance of P3A members; and third, strengthening community involvement and support.
