The Effect of Socio-Economic Resources on Improving The Welfare of Poor Communities Through Poverty Reduction Program at Serdang Bedagai District Social Agency
Abstract
The poverty rate in Serdang Bedagai Regency has increased to 8.30%, equivalent to 51.16 thousand people in March 2021. One of the causes of poverty in the community is due to livelihood limitations, so the government has rolled out various poverty alleviation programs. This study aims to analyze the effect of socioeconomic resources and the Social Service Poverty Alleviation Program on community welfare in Serdang Bedagai Regency and analyze the effect of socioeconomic resources on community welfare in Serdang Bedagai Regency through the Social Service Poverty Alleviation Program. The analysis model used in this research is sustainable livelihood analysis, descriptive analysis with the Likert scale, and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis with Partial Least Square (PLS) approach. The results showed that socio-economic resources and poverty alleviation programs have a positive and significant influence directly on the welfare of the poor. Bantuan Pangan Non Tunai (BPNT) and Program Keluarga Harapan (PKH) are a form of investment activity carried out by the government by improving the quality of livelihood assets so as to help improve the welfare of the community and get out of poverty.
