dc.description.abstractCorn contains protein in different amounts and qualities. To increase the high protein content and high yield potential, it is necessary to improve the traits by crossing. The purpose of this study was to determine the protein content and amylose content in rainbow pulut corn from F2 and F3 cross. This research was conducted at the Biology Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, University of North Sumatra from February to August 2022. This study analyzed the protein content and amylose content of F2 and F3 offspring of rainbow grains. The parameters observed were protein content and amylose content. The results showed that the protein and amylose levels in the F2 genotype of rainbow grains had a higher content than the F3 genotype. The highest protein content was shown by F2 genotype T7P4T2 (Purple) and F3 genotype T7P4 (Purple). The highest amylose content was shown by genotype F2 T7P4T3 (Purple) and genotype F3 T7P4 (Purple).en_US
