    Abstract
Issues related to force majeure frequently arise in the entertainment industry, one notable case being the controversy involving Matty Healy, the lead vocalist of The 1975. His actions regarding LGBT+ issues led to disruptions in the band's tour across Asia, including the cancellation of their performance at Jakarta's We The Fest 2023. This research formulates several key questions: What are the various forms of force majeure in the entertainment industry? How is the force majeure concept applied in concert organization contracts as a basis for concert cancellations, particularly in the controversy surrounding Matty Healy and The 1975? Additionally, what dispute resolution mechanisms can organizers implement to address cancellations due to force majeure situations involving The 1975 's vocalist. This study employs a normative juridical research method with a statutory approach. It identifies and analyzes conceptual and normative aspects of force majeure, including its definition, characteristics, and legal principles governing its application in concert or performance contracts. The research is descriptive and based on a literature review. Once all data is collected. it is analyzed systematically. The findings indicate that force majeure in the entertainment industry manifests in various forms, including extreme weather conditions, natural disasters, and government-imposed regulations or bans. In the case of We The Fest 2023, the cancellation of The 1975's performance qualifies as a force majeure event, as it was not due to contractual non-performance but rather an unavoidable external circumstance beyond the organizer's control. The event organizer suffered significant losses, facing issues both with The 1975's management and with ticket buyers. To resolve disputes, the organizers primarily relied on non-litigation methods, particularly negotiation. Preventive and anticipatory measures were also undertaken to mitigate problems arising from the controversy surrounding The 1975's vocalist, Matty Healy.
