dc.description.abstractLearning motivation plays an important role in the success of education, including for children in conflict with the law who participate in the equivalency education program at the Special Child Development Institution (LPKA). One factor influencing student learning motivation is the classroom climate, referring to students’ perceptions of all situations formed in the classroom through interactions with teachers and other students. This study aims to determine the role of classroom climate in learning motivation of children in conflict with the law at the Special Child Development Institution (LPKA) Class I Medan. This study is a population study involving 60 children in conflict with the law who participated in the equivalency education program at the Special Child Development Institution (LPKA) Class I Medan during the research period. The research instruments used are the Indonesian version of the AMS (Academic Motivation Scale) developed by Marvianto and Widhiarso (2019) and the Indonesian version of the WIHIC (What Is Happening In The Classroom) developed by Rahayu, Putra, Rahmawati, Hayat & Koul (2021). The data analysis method used is multinomial logistic regression, using the SPSS version 26.0 for Windows. Based on the data analysis, the value of sig. = 0.246 > 0.05, which means that classroom climate has no role in the learning motivation of children in conflict with the law at the Special Child Development Institution (LPKA) Class I Medan.en_US
