Rancang Bangun Sistem Sensor Keamanan Kendaraan Bermotor Menggunakan Middle Range RFID di Perumahan Villa Palem Kencana
Design and Development of a Motor Vehicle Security Sensor System Using Middle-Range RFID at Villa Palem Kencana Residential Area
Abstract
With the increasing number of motor vehicle users, there has been a significant
increase in motor vehicle theft cases. According to testimonies from residents living in the
Villa Palem Kencana housing complex, at least two cases of motor vehicle theft have
occurred in this neighborhood within one month. These thefts can be prevented by
enhancing the existing neighborhood security system. One solution to avoid motor vehicle
theft and improve security is using middle-range RFID technology. The middle-range
Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) reader is used to detect RFID tags that have been
attached to motor vehicles beforehand. This middle-range RFID can detect tags up to a
distance of 5 meters. The tags placed on the vehicles contain information such as the
owner's name, vehicle registration number, and phone number. The detection results are
displayed in a spreadsheet database, and images of passing vehicles are stored on the
ESP32-Cam's memory card. Based on testing, the security sensor device works well. It can
detect vehicles moving at speeds of 10 km/h to 40 km/h in the residential area, while the
ESP32-Cam is only able to capture images of vehicles moving at 10 km/h. The RFID
reading data is entered into the database system with an average time of 2.8 second and
the ESP32-Cam takes an average of 7.3 seconds to capture images after detection
