Recycled paper are materials that are widely used in the packaging and construction industries due to their superior mechanical properties, especially tensile strength. One important factor that affects the tensile strength of CCP is the fiber composition used, especially the ratio between long and short fibers. This study aims to optimize the ratio of long and short fibers in CCP to increase its tensile strength. Its tensile strength is determined by tensile testing based on ASTM D 638. The tensile test data were then analyzed using ANOVA to determine the effect of adding long fibers on the tensile strength of recycled paper. After that, SEM and Image-J observations were also carried out to determine the average fiber size and the volume size of the fibers building the recycled paper. The results of the tensile strength test S1 have a tensile strength of 0.348 MPa, sample S2 is 0.389 MPa, sample S3 is 0.210 MPa, sample S4 is 0.215 MPa, and sample S5 is 0.221 MPa. The results of the ANOVA analysis showed an effect caused by the addition of long fibers on the tensile strength of the paper. The results of the Image-J observation showed that the average size of the S1 fiber was 9,639,806 mm2, the S2 sample was 10,285,525 mm2, the S3 sample was 17,483,043 mm2, the S4 sample was 11,871,877 mm2, and the S5 sample was 11,408,461 mm2. From this data, it can be seen that there is a relationship that is directly proportional to the level of tensile strength. In this case, the smaller the particle size, the greater the tensile strength.en_US
