dc.description.abstractThis research is a descriptive study about the level of grit which aims to describe the grit of MTs teachers in Medan. The research method used was a quantitative descriptive method with accidental sampling so that the respondents in this study were 288 MTs teachers. The measuring tool in this research is a Likert scale (Grit Guru Scale) with 14 items contained in the questionnaire sheet. The data obtained was processed with the SPSS 27.0 program for Windows. Based on descriptive statistical analysis of empirical data, it was found that the grit scores of MTs teachers in Medan were in the medium category as many as 199 people (69.1%), in the high category as many as 52 people (18.1%) and in the low category as many as 37 teachers (12.8%). There are two aspect that can measure a grit of teacher, namely; consistency of interest and perseverance of effort. Apart from that, researcher also looked at the description of grit based on gender, age, employment status, level of education, number of hours worked, length of service and subjects taught.en_US
