dc.description.abstract | In Indonesia, the existence of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises or known as MSMEs is considered to have a positive contribution or role to the country's economy. North Sumatra has various kinds of quality MSME products with large market potential, requiring a space that functions as a place for developing and selling MSME products. This is what underlies the design of MSME Square which collaborates with the University of North Sumatra campus and can accommodate all MSME activities so that a detailed engineering design (ded) which will later become a reference basis for the construction of the North Sumatra University umkm square building which will later be utilized starting from street vendors to create an orderly environment. The research method used in this report is a descriptive method, namely presenting an explanation of primary and secondary data. The analyzes carried out to fulfill this data are site analysis, circulation analysis, mass analysis, building orientation analysis, zoning analysis, analysis of relationships between spaces and others. From this analysis, it is explained that the design of the Umkm Square collaborative building meets funding standards and is implemented using a Neo Vernacular Architecture design approach as an effort to represent Localism architectural values, Batak philosophy and culture in the building. This building is designed on a land area of 1.5960 hectares with a building area of 3,420 m2, has 2 building floors with supporting function facilities for MSME retail, convention hall, cinema, coworking space and collaboration space. So with this design it can be concluded that the design of the MSME Center using the Neo Vernacular Architecture approach can be fulfilled and is expected to be useful and can be further developed in the future. | en_US |
