Indonesia, renowned for its natural beauty, faces the significant challenge of being the fifth-largest global waste producer, generating 65.2 million tons annually in 2020. Recent data from the World Bank and the National Waste Management Information System (SIPSN) indicate that the country produced 35.83 million tons of waste in 2022, with 37.37% inadequately managed and ending up in landfills. Food waste constitutes 40.7% of this total, highlighting the need for targeted reduction strategies. Addressing this, the study focuses on designing a Recycling Mall adhering to Indonesian standards (SNI) and sustainable architecture principles. The goal is to promote circular economic growth in Medan, transforming urban waste issues into environmentally friendly income sources and improving residents' quality of life. This research, involving field surveys, literature reviews, and comparative analyses, aims to advance waste management and circular economy discourse in Indonesia, offering a transformative vision for sustainable urban development.en_US
