In reality, the increase in UMKM sellers is not in line with the availability of platforms for activities. It is not uncommon for them to carry out UMKM activities in inappropriate places such as sidewalks, roads, etc. which really disturbs the comfort of the public, so a platform is needed as a center for Medan City UMKM activities so that they are more organized and develop their activities optimally. The container that accommodates these activities is the Collaboration Building. The UMKM Collaboration Building is a building that is able to accommodate the activities of UMKM sellers with local and global buyers. It is called collaboration because UMKM sellers will not only come from one sector, but can come from various sectors. And looking at the scale, the UMKMs that will be accommodated in this building will be used from street vendors to medium-sized businesses. Participation in this UMKM collaboration activity represents the involvement of the human community with the urban ecosystem where the community becomes the embodiment of the ecopolis. Ecopolis is an effort to integrate population settlement patterns into natural life patterns, so that cities will become places to preserve the carrying capacity of the environment and at the same time increase economic activity. Sustainable cities and communities are something that is of great concern in the ecopolis concept.en_US
