There are 6 fantasy themes used by Mitra FM and RKD FM, namely: symbols and rituals, participatory, self- development, nostalgia, collaborative, and communal. These six fantasy themes are used on air, off air, and online. Symbols, narratives, and rituals are used to build solidarity among community members. Historical narratives of the establishment of the radio and cultural broadcasts are used to raise awareness of radio members to participate. The challenges in implementing fantasy themes in this community radio are: limited funds, minimal involvement of the young people, digital technology disruption, and busy activities of community members. Strategies that are applicable to overcome these challenges are through collaboration with the government and sponsors to obtain public service advertisements, involving the youth through program innovation, utilizing streaming platforms and social media, and adjusting meeting schedules.
