Struktur Komunitas Makrozoobentos pada Ekosistem Mangrove di Desa Pangkalan Siata, Kabupaten Langkat

Abstract

The mangrove ecosystem is an ecosystem that has high productivity compared to other ecosystems with high decomposition of organic matter, and makes it a very important ecological link for the lives of living things in the surrounding waters, so that the structure of the macrobenthos community can be seen in the mangrove ecosystem. The purpose of this study was to determine the structure of the macrobenthos community in the Mangrove Ecosystem in Pangkalan Siata, Langkat Regency. This research was conducted on October 19-22, 2024. The research method used was purposive sampling at 10 station points. The results of the study obtained were the number of macrobenthos 1327 individuals consisting of 3 classes, 18 families, and 41 species. The diversity index category at each station was moderate, the uniformity index category at each station was high, except at station 7 which was moderate and the dominance index category was low. The relationship between density, diversity, and density with environmental parameters has a relationship that tends to be very weak. Density with c-organic is negatively correlated and has a strong relationship with a value of -0,61, diversity with the substrate category is positively correlated and has a moderate relationship with a value of 0,50 and density with the substrate category has the highest value of 0,28 where the relationship is positively correlated and weak.This research is expected to provide useful information and serve as a reference for readers and researchers.
